Bride with soft bridal makeup by Alice, smiling in a lace gown and long veil with the Marina Bay skyline behind her

Alice安柔 Xu Shuangqing Makeup artist & beauty educator · Singapore

Makeup that knows whose face it’s on.

Bridal and occasion makeup, eyebrow design and face-to-face classes in Singapore, shaped around your features, your skin and the day ahead.

You first. Then the makeup.

Before Alice reaches for a brush, she looks at you: where your features are strongest, how your skin behaves by mid-afternoon, how much makeup you’re used to wearing, and where you’re headed. A wedding at ten, a dinner at eight, a portrait in window light. Only then does the look take shape, so that when you see the photographs, you recognise yourself straight away.

Brides, as themselves

Meet Alice

Alice Xu’s Chinese name, 安柔, joins two characters: one for calm, one for gentleness. It’s a fair description of how she likes a wedding morning to feel.

She asks her questions early, so nothing has to be decided in a rush. She’ll tell you honestly when a reference photo suits you, and when it was lit for someone else’s face.

Behind that calm is an unusually broad training in makeup artistry, skin and aesthetic therapy, permanent makeup and adult training. It shapes every booking, whether she is preparing a bride, mapping a brow or teaching a class.

What her training means for your face

Six qualifications across makeup, skin, aesthetics and teaching. Here is what each one changes for you.

Makeup

  • COSMOPROF Diploma in Professional Makeup

Colour, texture and finish chosen with the camera in mind: how a lip reads under flash, how a base looks in window light, how much definition survives a wide shot.

Skin

  • ITEC International Beauty Therapist (UK)
  • China National Level 3 Senior Beauty Therapist

She looks at your skin before she covers it, and preps it for how it is that morning, so makeup sits on the skin rather than settling into it and stays comfortable through a long day.

Aesthetics

  • ITEC International Aesthetic Therapist (UK)
  • International Permanent Makeup (PMU) Artist

A precise eye for proportion and symmetry: where a little definition helps your features, and where it’s better to leave them alone. Already have embroidered brows or lip blush? She’ll work with them, not over them.

Teaching

  • ACTA Certified Trainer

Certified to train adults. In a class or at a bridal trial, you’ll understand why each choice was made, and you’ll practise until it feels natural.
